Our patented fan-cooled Impulse Drive System (IDS™️) utilizes American made planetary gear drives from Auburn Gear®️. Commonly found in construction equipment, these drives are designed to perform all day, every day, all seasons, in some of the worst conditions. Made with heavy-duty cast iron housings and steel cut gears that provide a max load rating of 9,000 lbs/4.5 tons per mower, these drives are designed to last. Controlled by proprietary software, the drives offer precision handling season after season.

All Mean Green mowers with a battery size greater than 14-kWh are stable on side slopes up 20 degrees due to our patented, ultra-low, centralized center of gravity, and engineered battery configuration located only 8 inches above the ground.

Our patented SmartDeck™️ rapid height deck lift system can be operated with the push of a button or foot pedal. When approaching curbs or obstacles, a simple touch of the electronic foot pedal will completely elevate the deck in seconds!

Our pioneering Vortex decks are offered with either side discharge or innovative mulching rear discharge. Only Mean Green offers a mulching rear discharge deck, taking productivity and innovation to new levels.
