The National Association of Landscape Professionals is the trade association for the landscape industry, representing the voice of more than 100,000 landscape professionals. Outdoor Power Equipment Institute

The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) is an international trade association representing power equipment, engine and utility vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. OPEI is the advocacy voice of the industry, and a recognized Standards Development Organization for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and active internationally through the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in the development of safety and performance standards. OPEI is managing partner of GIE+EXPO, the industry’s annual international trade show, and the creative force behind the environmental education program, OPEI-Canada represents members on a host of issues, including recycling, emissions and other regulatory developments across the Canadian provinces.

Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS)

The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) was established in 1911 as a professional society for the individual with the purpose of education and professional advancement. The majority of PGMS members are institutional grounds managers who work for organizations such as colleges and universities, municipalities, park and recreation facilities, office parks, apartment complexes, hotels/motels, cemeteries, theme parks, and landscape management companies.

The purpose of PGMS is to unite professional grounds managers and those interested in or providing service to the grounds management industry, to promote the dissemination of educational materials and reliable information pertinent to the execution of grounds management functions, and to assist in attaining and maintaining a high standard of business ethics.

The American Green Zone Alliance

AGZA is a member based organization that provides certification and accreditation in zero-emission landscape maintenance strategies.

They educate individuals, property owners, and landscape maintenance professionals to reduce or eliminate the use of gasoline powered maintenance equipment in favor of cordless electric and manual equipment.

AGZA promotes these strategies through their exclusive Green Zone certification program that allows the owners of properties of any size to create, maintain, and promote their own zero-emission Green Zone.

Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)

Mean Green Mowers has become a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, an association of colleges and universities working to create a sustainable world.  Through its membership in AASHE, Mean Green Mowers will be able to better understand and assist higher education institutions in advancing their sustainability initiatives.

AASHE enables colleges and universities to meet their sustainability goals by providing specialized resources, professional development, and a network for sharing information about sustainability products and services.
